Descending from a number of generations of musicians, Alan Brereton has been a semi-professional musician since 1999 and a professional musician since 2006. His experience ranges from solo vocal performances in the National Concert Hall (Dublin) and Limerick University Concert Hall, to band performances from New York to Kuwait City. As an educator, he also teaches piano, guitar and music theory.

Having played with acts such as Rob Strong and Robert Mizzel together with countless shows and musicals Paul has a guitar style that adapts to any genre of music.
Playing solo and with other acts all over Ireland, UK, France and the U.S. his experience shows in his performance with The Black Knights.

Micheal Monaghan
Drums, Percussion, Lead & Backing Vocals
Mick is a well-known drummer all over Ireland having performed with the The Massed Bands during his Army career and numerous musical societies all over the country. He also has a love for Jazz music which enabled him to perform many jazz festivals throughout Ireland, Britain and France.
He was guided by the famous drum specialist Johnny Wathem and he now teaches drums at the Newbridge School of Music where he is also Musical Director.

Karl has been a professional DJ for almost 14 years and has entertained at weddings, corporate events, themed parties, christmas shows and celebrations to audiences of all ages. His repertoire covers music from the 60s right through to the hits of today. He uses state of the art sound and lights which compliments The Black Knights set up very well.
